
Mark Mattek, LMFT
Mark Mattek is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who works with adults. Using his background in the corporate world (tech, travel, higher education and entertainment) paired with a strengths-based, trauma-informed and solutions-focused approach, Mark partners with client to feel better connected to their unique strengths, more compassionate towards themselves and in their relationships, and more confident in their decisions.
Mark utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Person-Centered, and Motivational Interviewing modalities. He especially enjoys working with people who find themselves at a crossroads in their career – and want to prioritize their mental health to drive healthy decisions and actions.
Mark obtained his Master of Science in Counseling degree from the University of Phoenix, and in 2020 completed additional graduate coursework in trauma counseling at California State University – Fullerton. Mark’s most recent experience has been working at a clinic in Oakland to help adults stabilize their mental health through the power of community and personal accountability.
