Dr. Stephens

Dr. Stephens

Dr. Stephens is a board-eligible psychiatrist who approaches mental health through an integrative, whole-person lens—honoring the mind, body, and spirit in every step of the healing journey. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with honors from San Diego State University, where she also conducted research in cell and molecular biology. She went on to complete her medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine and obtained a Master of Public Health in Tropical Medicine from the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She completed her psychiatry residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and pursued additional training in Integrative Medicine through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. Her approach blends conventional psychiatric care with lifestyle medicine, mindfulness-based practices, and a deep respect for the inner life of each individual. She has a special interest in Jungian psychoanalysis and incorporates depth-oriented perspectives to support personal insight, transformation, and meaning-making.

Dr. Stephens works with both adults and adolescents navigating a range of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, OCD, and substance use.

Her treatment philosophy centers on collaboration and curiosity—developing individualized care plans that support long-term wellbeing, emotional resilience, and personal growth.

In addition to her clinical work, she is deeply interested in nature as medicine and the emerging field of plant-based therapies. When not in the office, she finds grounding and inspiration in the outdoors—most often hiking, biking, backpacking, running, or skiing.
